From helping our patients navigating our hospital buildings, to delivering information leaflets and helping feed patients, our volunteers are there to assist you when you may need it. We continue to be immensely grateful to the 800 men and women, of all ages and backgrounds, who give up their time so selflessly to provide non-clinical support. Their contribution supports and enhances the services of the hospital, adding to the overall patient experience you receive.
The Trust welcomes volunteers from the age 16 and upwards and we believe that everyone has something to give. There has been a significant increase in the number of younger people who are giving their time to help others in our hospitals. Often volunteering is a useful way to gain experience within a hospital, giving something back to the community. To read stories of current volunteer's experiences please click here.
